Seven terrorists killed in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operations: state media

At least seven terrorists have been killed by security forces during operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, state media Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday citing security sources. The sources said security forces killed two terrorists during operations in Nokcha area of Chaghi district. According to security sources, terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan set an empty water bowser on fire in Nokcha and attempted to flee. “However, security forces responded swiftly and effectively and eliminated two terrorists,” they added. Separately, five terrorists of Fitna Al-Khawarij were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation in the Bara area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to security sources, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists. As a result of the security forces’ extensive operation, the hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij were completely destroyed. PM vows to eliminate terrorism Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has commended security forces for successful operations against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. In a statement issued by the PM Office, he said the security forces have demonstrated their professional capabilities, courage and bravery, thwarting the sordid designs of the terrorists. He said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its brave security forces in the fight against terrorism. The prime minister said operations will continue until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country. “Elements seeking to undermine Pakistan’s peace and stability will not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs,” he said. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the security forces for conducting successful intelligence-based operations against Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. In a statement, the minister said the brave personnel of the security forces acted in time and thwarted the plans of the Khawarij through effective operations. He appreciated the efforts of the forces and acknowledged their role in maintaining security. Naqvi specifically commended the professional capabilities of the security forces for eliminating five Khawarij in Bara and two Khawarij in Nokcha, Chagai. “The successful operations demonstrate the preparedness and effectiveness of the forces in dealing with security threats,” he said. The interior minister said the government values the successful actions carried out by the security forces against Khawarij and their facilitators. He noted that such operations are important in countering militant activities and protecting the country.
