Zelensky: Ukraine expects partners to meet arms delivery deadlines
President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the team from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the diplomatic team from the Office of the President regarding the schedule for arms deliveries from partners, and also set new tasks for long-range operations.
According to Ukrinform, the head of state announced this on Telegram .
“I held a meeting with the team from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the diplomatic team from the Office regarding the schedule for arms deliveries from partners. The agreements are absolutely clear, and every day at the political level, we are adding new agreements with leaders,” Zelensky noted.
According to the President, this includes, in particular, the supply of ammunition for combat aircraft—specifically for Ukrainian F-16s —additional funding for the production of various types of drones and missiles, as well as joint production projects with European partners.
“I am counting on the deadlines for each agreement being met,” he emphasized.
Separately, during the meeting, Zelensky discussed the implementation of Ukrainian long-range operations with Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty.
“New long-range mission objectives have also been defined,” the head of state emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that to effectively counter jet drones, F-16 fighter jets require 5,000 to 6,000 rounds of 20-millimeter ammunition per day.
