Zelensky: Russian combined attack kills 25 and injures 100 people
On October 7, 25 people were killed and 100 were wounded in a Russian combined attack.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in an evening video address , according to Ukrinform.
“All day today, we’ve been clearing the rubble after a Russian missile strike in Pryluky. An Kh-101 missile. A direct hit on a house. Unfortunately, 19 people were killed , including five young children. My condolences to their families and loved ones. In total, 25 people have died as a result of this massive strike on Ukraine. One hundred people were wounded. It was a combined strike—involving numerous ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and “Shahed” drones.
This is the ‘gift’ Putin gave himself for his birthday—the killing of children, the killing of people. During the day, there were new strikes with “Shahed” drones and aerial bombs,” Zelensky noted.
The president stressed that it is important for world leaders not to remain silent in the face of what has happened.
The Ukrainian head of state emphasized that easing sanctions sends a signal that the war is becoming normalized.
“Putin can still sell oil and calculate the situation in dollars and euros in whatever way remains profitable for him. It is in his interest to wage war. War is his nature, his ideology. And this is not just Ukraine’s problem—not just ours, not just that of our people and our children. It is a problem for everyone in Europe and the Western world,” Zelensky said.
According to him, what is happening in Ukraine is a rehearsal for what Russia wants to reserve for itself as an option to use against any country.
