Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu marked the third anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Wednesday, lighting a memorial candle at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem for those killed in the assault.

Netanyahu said Israel was united in mourning and remembering the victims of the attack.

“We will complete the mission,” Netanyahu said, adding that Israel had “settled the score” and would continue pursuing those responsible for the killings.

Referring to the Hamas attackers as “monsters,” Netanyahu vowed to continue hunting those responsible.

“We will settle accounts with those who dispatched and carried out the horrific massacre,” Netanyahu said in remarks marking the anniversary.

The commemoration comes three years after the Hamas-led attack killed around 1,200 people in Israel and saw 251 people taken hostage. All of the hostages, both living and deceased, have since been returned.
