Many feared dead as helicopter crashes in Ondo

Many people were feared killed after a helicopter crashed in Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Monday.

According to a source, the helicopter reportedly crashed in a swampy area of Igbokoda.

However, the number of casualties could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, but the source confirmed that some people were killed, particularly the occupants of the ill-fated helicopter.

He added that the police and military personnel later arrived at the scene for a rescue operation.

“It happened this morning. We heard a very loud sound in the area where the incident occurred, but we could not get there because the place is a swampy area inside the creek; we are just looking at it from afar.
