At least 11 killed 30 injured in Dera Ismail Khan blast

Rescue 1122 says injured people being provided medical treatment, shifted to hospitals

At least 11 people were killed and 30 others injured in a blast near Aman Mela in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan, Rescue 1122 said on Saturday.

Spokesperson Bilal Ahmad Faizi said Rescue 1122 ambulances were providing immediate medical assistance to the injured at the scene and shifting them to hospitals.

"Additional ambulances and rescue personnel from Karak and Hangu have also reached the site to assist with the search and rescue operation," he added.

Last week, 23 people, including 15 police officials, were martyred when an explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a mosque in Kohat Police Lines, followed by terrorists storming the compound and attacking police facilities. Ittihadul Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP), led by Afghanistan-based Hafiz Gul Bahadur, has claimed responsibility for the deadly bombing and rampage involving multiple attackers.
