Donetsk Regional Military Administration (OVA) head Vadym Filashkin condemned the attack in a Telegram post.
“12 lives taken by Russia in a single moment. These are not merely ‘consequences of war ’ or dry statistics. These are people killed by the Russian army,” Filashkin said.
He urged residents of the Donetsk region to evacuate to safer parts of Ukraine.
At approximately 9:46 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces were using guided aerial bombs (KABs) against targets in the Donetsk region.
Kramatorsk, a major administrative and logistics center in northern Donetsk region, has remained a frequent target of Russian missile, artillery, KABs, and drone strikes as Moscow continues its offensive along the eastern front.
On Sept. 13, a Russian strike targeted a civilian vehicle traveling through central Kramatorsk , killing two people and injuring four others, regional authorities reported.
Filashkin said Russian forces deliberately targeted the vehicle as it moved through the city center, describing the attack as another demonstration of the danger facing civilians in the front-line region.
“Again and again, the Russians prove that they came here to kill everyone they can reach. Every day in Donetsk region is a mortal danger,” Filashkin said.
