In an interview following her detention alongside Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during street demonstrations in New Delhi, Congress social media chairperson Supriya Shrinate stated that the ongoing opposition agitation is aimed at protecting constitutional principles and voter integrity. Shrinate asserted, "This is a fight for our Constitution," adding that opposition members were physically manhandled and shoved into buses by law enforcement while holding copies of the Constitution.

Questioning the role of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over electoral procedures, she rejected suggestions that the demonstrations were merely partisan theatrics or that the opposition would boycott upcoming polls. She affirmed, "We will not boycott the Indian elections because India's elections have to be free, fair, and independent," arguing that boycotting would abandon the voting public. Shrinate maintained that nationwide protests will continue until institutional accountability and transparent elections are fully restored.
