Rahul Gandhi Leads Flash Protest In Delhi; Security Heightened At Jantar Mantar

Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force personnel have deployed heavy security across roads leading towards Jantar Mantar as Opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien, proceed in buses for a demonstration. Demonstrators, alongside Youth Congress and National Students' Union of India members, carried posters reading 'Vote Chori' and 'Democracy ki Chori'.

Police officials have adopted a wait-and-watch strategy, keeping barricades in place while preparing to stop marches directed towards Jantar Mantar or Windsor Place. This marks the second consecutive day of protests following an earlier march from Parliament Annex towards the Election Commission office, which culminated in a sit-in at Akashvani Bhavan and temporary detentions. Opposition leaders plan to sustain their agitation despite previous detentions and police presence.
