Rahul Gandhi Cavalcade Reaches Raj Ghat, INDIA Bloc Leaders Wait In Buses
Opposition MPs and INDIA bloc leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Mallikarjun Kharge, travelled in three buses towards Raj Ghat in New Delhi as part of their ongoing protest demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's ouster. Along with opposition lawmakers from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, youth workers from the Congress and student organisations marched from Connaught Place. Heavy security arrangements were in place, with Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force personnel monitoring the route and using drone cameras to manage the crowd.
Authorities established a corridor to permit movement, while restrictions barred slogans and sit-in dharnas inside the memorial complex. The demonstration marks the third consecutive day of protests by the opposition over electoral concerns. Responding to the demonstrations, the Bharatiya Janata Party dismissed the opposition's claims as baseless allegations, accusing them of spreading anarchy while questioning their electoral track record.
