Dr Bawumia said the NPP must build an inclusive system that brings together the skills and capabilities of its members in the effort to return the party to power.
He stressed that the party’s 2028 campaign must consider all members of the party.
“In victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign,” Dr Bawumia stated.
His call followed the election of the party’s new national executives in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, as part of the NPP’s reorganisation ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Sunday, October 4, Dr Bawumia pledged his support to the new leadership and expressed confidence in its ability to lead the party into the next election.
He said the new executives, led by National Chairman John Boadu, should work to harness the talents available across the party.
“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his part has committed to providing the necessary support to the new leadership to run an inclusive system that allows all the talents in the party to be harnessed for victory in 2028,” the statement said.
He also congratulated all the newly elected national executives, describing the election as the completion of the NPP’s reorganisation process ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
According to him, the election was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and transparency and its outcome reflected the wishes of the party’s delegates.
Dr Bawumia said the expectation of the NPP’s rank and file was for the John Boadu-led executive to commence preparations for the 2028 election.
The new executives are expected to lead the party’s organisational activities and mobilisation efforts as the NPP begins its preparations for the next general election.
